How COVERLINE works
One big story at a time, with the reporting it came from named on every page.
What you see on Instagram is a cover: one photo, a two-word headline, one line of summary. The full story lives here, on this site, linked from the account bio.
Stories are written with AI from named outlets. COVERLINE monitors wire feeds and major newsrooms around the clock. When a story is chosen, it gathers the reporting from several outlets, then writes an original story that attributes every fact a reader could not check themselves to the outlet that reported it. Every story lists the outlets it drew on at the bottom.
No opinion. COVERLINE does not editorialize, endorse, or predict. If outlets disagree, the story says who says what.
Photos come from the reporting when they can. When no usable photo exists, an illustration is generated and labeled "AI illustration" in the corner of the cover. It is never presented as a photograph of the event. Real people are never depicted in generated images.
Timing. Two editions a day, morning and evening Pacific time, plus breaking stories within minutes when they clear a high bar of importance and confirmation.
Corrections. Reply to the post on Instagram or Threads. Errors are fixed on the story page and noted.
