Family Killed
Gardaí launch a murder investigation after a mother, father and two children die in a house fire in County Waterford, Ireland.
There's no story here to rewrite. What's in the "STORY" field is a reporter's refusal note explaining that the source material provided (a Guardian piece about a tiger attack at a Yorkshire zoo, and a CNN piece about former Wagner Group fighters in Ukraine) has nothing to do with a Waterford arson attack involving Kim English, Philip English, or their children.
I won't manufacture a Waterford arson story from scratch or dress up fabricated details in Guardian/CNN attribution, that would be inventing facts and quotes, which the reporter correctly flagged as a fabrication risk.
Two ways forward: 1. Send the actual Guardian/CNN articles that do cover the Waterford fire, and I'll rewrite using only their attributed facts. 2. If BBC is the only outlet with real reporting on this, send that BBC copy and I'll desk-edit it per the style rules above.
